Don't wait too long.

My 2 year strokeiversary

Here I am 2 years later as a stroke survivor. At the time I didn’t realize how a split second changed my life until the moment it happened. How a second has made me work for years to get back the life I had and the work hasn’t stopped yet.  While it has had an effect on me mentally and physically with deficits I’ve also grown in that aspect. I’ve learned a lot about having patience for myself and others. I’ve also learned how much closer to god I can be. I’ve learned how my body progresses day by day. However, I am learning that I must prioritize myself, acceptance of what happened to me and as long as I have the right support I will be fine.

About Me

I am from the south side of Chicago near the englewood area. Many things were instilled in me and one thing I remember being told was to take care of myself. As I got older I strayed away from that but the past year has taught me so much in taking care of yourself mind, body, and spirit.
